The book
Colour, Cut & Create!
Twenty adventures to colour, cut and glue together. For children aged 3 and up, and the grown-up sitting next to them.

Inside
Every adventure has three pages.
A sheet of pieces
A rocket, a dinosaur, scoops of ice cream, a rabbit's ears: everything to colour and cut out. The sheet comes out of the book, so cutting is easy.
A world
A big, empty scene waiting for colour. This is where the pieces go.
A finished example
To show what's possible, not to copy. Your version can look completely different.
Adventure 3 Rocket to Moonbeam Bay

Little hands your child
The pieces
The rocket's body, nose cone, fins, round window and flame, plus a smiling shooting star. Your child colours them all.

Grown-up hands you
The world
Planets, stars and the grey craters of Moonbeam Bay. The night sky around the rocket is for the grown-up.

Together both of you
Your adventure
Cut, arrange, glue: the rocket lifts off over the moon. Two drawings become one adventure.
Adventure 8 Dottie's Dinosaur Valley

Little hands your child
The pieces
Dottie's spotty body, long neck, tail, legs and crest, and a speckled egg. Your child colours every bit of her.

Grown-up hands you
The world
A smiling volcano, tall cliffs and curly ferns. The valley where Dottie lives is for the grown-up.

Together both of you
Your adventure
Cut her out, put her together, glue her in. Now Dottie has a valley of her own.
Adventure 19 The Great Ice Cream Shop

Little hands your child
The pieces
A sundae glass, three scoops, a cherry, a wafer and a spoon. Your child decides every flavour.

Grown-up hands you
The world
The striped awning, bunting, lamps and a little window full of treats. The ice cream parlour is for the grown-up.

Together both of you
Your adventure
Stack the scoops, add the cherry, glue the sundae on the counter. Your own ice cream shop is open.
Adventure 20 Bramble's Burrow

Little hands your child
The pieces
Bramble's body, head and long ears, a carrot, a flower and a little bunny friend. Your child colours them in.

Grown-up hands you
The world
The old tree roots, the snug burrow and the winding path. The woods around it are for the grown-up.

Together both of you
Your adventure
Cut, arrange, glue: Bramble is home, carrot and all. Two drawings, one cosy burrow.

What age is Ismika for?
The book is designed for children aged 3 and up, together with a grown-up. How much your child does and how much you do is up to the two of you.
What language is the book in?
English. There's very little text, though: the names of the adventures and a few short instructions. The pictures speak for themselves.

Not at all. The finished example is there for inspiration. You choose the colours and where everything goes.

Cutting and gluing happen with a grown-up nearby. Keep small cut-out pieces away from babies and very young children.
